Unit Coordinator - Special Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join our clinical leadership team as a Unit Coordinator for the Special Care Unit at Tangram Healthcare. The role involves working Monday to Sunday, 0730-1600 with a shared on-call component.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing leadership, coaching, and support to their team, ensuring high-quality care is delivered to residents.
  • Fostering a culture that promotes a safe and enjoyable work experience for staff.
  • Ensuring all care is continuously assessed, planned, implemented, and evaluated to meet the needs of each resident within the Special Care Unit.
  • Actively engaging with residents' families/whanau, visitors, Allied Health Professionals, and District Health Boards, creating lasting relationships.
  • Performing and supporting nursing teams to conduct interRAI assessments.

About You

To thrive in this supportive and caring environment, you will have:

  • A current APC (annual practising certificate).
  • InterRAI training or willingness to gain competency.
  • Extensive experience as a Senior Registered Nurse or Nursing Leader.
  • The ability to lead, share knowledge, and motivate your team.
