Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Hepatology Unit Lead within the Liver Research Unit at Te Toka Tumai Auckland.

This is a full-time, permanent position that will work closely with Professor Gane, Principal Investigator and Clinical Lead for the unit, and other key stakeholders to provide strategic leadership and oversight of research activities within the LRU. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in clinical research management, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and developing effective research strategies.

The Liver Research Unit is a leading centre for hepatology research in New Zealand, with a strong focus on conducting high-quality clinical trials to improve treatment options for patients with liver disease. The unit works closely with researchers from around the world to develop new treatments and therapies for liver conditions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the research team, including budget management, staff supervision, and coordination of research studies. They will also be expected to contribute to the development of the unit's research strategy and identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
