The Mason Clinic is the Auckland Regional Forensic Psychiatry Service that serves the Northern region of New Zealand. Our team provides a comprehensive range of specialist Forensic Mental Health Services, including court liaison and reporting, prison in-reach mental health care, secure inpatient acute care, and forensic community reintegration.
We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary service, you will provide expert psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to individuals with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to individuals with complex mental health needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery
Requirements
- Masters degree in Psychiatry or equivalent qualification
- Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Experience in forensic mental health services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
