About the JobThis is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team and contribute to the development of locally delivered, high-quality and effective interventions for children and young people.
The successful candidate will be part of a well-established and vibrant multi-disciplinary team working with children, young people and their families experiencing a range of complex mental health needs.
About YouWe are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, innovative and hard-working psychologist who has experience in child and adolescent work and is able to provide comprehensive mental health assessments and effective evidence-based interventions for children and young people.
The successful candidate must have:
- Excellent communication and liaison skills as it is important to be able to work well and collaboratively with other professionals both within Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Te Matau a Māui Hawke's Bay and in the community.
- It is essential that you are an NZ Registered Psychologist.
- Demonstrate flexibility to provide shorter-term, referral-reason-focused interventions.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
- Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
