About the Role

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in category management, with a strong background in leading teams and developing strategic partnerships. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of procurement plan objectives through effective supplier relationship management within the Vehicles, Machinery & Facilities Management portfolio.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Developing and implementing category strategies to drive value and efficiency
  2. Liaising with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and develop solutions
  3. Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure best-in-class service and pricing
  4. Leading panel management to ensure efficient and effective operations
  5. Providing strategic advice to the business on category market dynamics and spend analysis

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in category management, preferably within a government agency
  • A strong track record of leading teams and developing strategic partnerships
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to draw insights from data and identify trends
  • Commercial acumen and experience in cooperative partnering relationships
  • CIPS or tertiary qualification in Business, Law, Accounting, or Commerce
