Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at South Pacific Meats. This role is critical to the success of our organization, and we require a strong leader who can oversee the maintenance and management of plant assets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, ensuring minimal downtime due to engineering and maintenance requirements, and collaborating with other departments to achieve business objectives.

Main Accountabilities

  • Manage and maintain plant assets to minimize downtime
  • Lead a team of engineers to achieve business objectives
  • Collaborate with the Group Engineering Manager and Improvement Engineers to implement plant improvement projects
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in the engineering field
  • Strong knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015
  • Additional training courses such as confined space and working at heights training (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously
