Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Baggage Operations Specialist. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the operational reliability and resilience of the baggage handling system(s) (BHS).

About the Role

  • Manage and monitor daily operation of the baggage handling system.
  • Manage O&M Service Provider and stakeholders to deliver high-performance baggage services.
  • Manage operational disruption, keeping communication flowing smoothly between O&M Service Provider and Auckland Airport Operations.
  • Key point of contact for internal and external customers/stakeholders and representing Baggage in relevant forums and project groups.
  • Manage O&M Service Provider and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure safety protocols are followed and promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety standards.
  • Undertake budget tracking and ensure projects and activities remain within allocated budgets.
  • Undertake procurement process by preparing and issuing Purchase Orders (POs) in alignment with organisational policies and project needs.
