Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Plant Engineer to join our team in Hamilton.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, conduct and deliver the maintenance engineering function at our production facility
  • Provide effective, hands-on maintenance service to plant operations and departments
  • Manage the maintenance process, ensuring costs are in line with expectations
  • Implement and maintain preventative maintenance records
  • Participate in the rollout of TPM and activities associated with Autonomous Maintenance Teams, planned maintenance and 5S activities
  • Manage contractors and relationships with suppliers
  • Assist in the development of process changes to support manufacturing of new products

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a mechanical discipline – either degree or trade certificate
  • Several years' experience in a hands-on maintenance role in an industrial setting
  • Mechanical problem solving with limited electrical qualification would be highly regarded
  • An unwavering commitment to safety
  • Exceptional planning, administration and organisational skills
  • Self-driven and able to work autonomously with a healthy dose of initiative
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership capability
