Wellington, Wellington, New Zealand New Zealand Government Full time

About the Role

This exciting opportunity is available to join our dynamic Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) team, supporting care delivery throughout the wider hospital. As a key member of the Variance Response Management team, you will attend clinical areas encountering mismatched demand versus capacity.

Temporarily slotting into teams, you will provide excellent clinical assessment and nursing care across various departments, including ED, Children's Ward, and Outpatients. With varying role demands, flexibility is essential to undertake alternative nursing tasks within the IOC and wider hospital.

About the Team/Service/Location

The IOC provides comprehensive clinical and operational services 24/7, ensuring patient safety, optimising resource allocation, and supporting effective hospital management. This includes critical services such as Transit Nursing, Allocation and Casual Nursing, the Transit Hub, Variance Response Nursing, the Duty Nurse Manager (DNM) team, and the National Travel Assistance service.

About You

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic registered nurse with a minimum of four years acute nursing experience. You must have a positive attitude, be kind and calm under pressure, and possess outstanding communication skills to rapidly establish effective rapport with diverse individuals.
