We are seeking an Executive Chef Assistant to join our friendly kitchen team at Sudima Auckland Airport Hotel.
This is a full-time role, 32 hours per week guaranteed minimum with the pay rate of $27.00 - $27.83 per hour.
Responsibilities | Ngā haepapa- Produce excellent quality dishes to brand standards for the restaurant, bar, conferencing and room service on a day to day basis.
- Organise the shift, placing orders, prep completion and supporting the team to ensure the kitchen is always well prepared, clean and hygienic for each shift.
- Support the Head Chef and where appropriate guide junior kitchen team members.
- Foster a great team environment of cooperation and respect between co-workers.
- Monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
- Prepare and cook food.
- Understand and execute the food control plan.
We seek team members with a great attitude. The following skills will see you succeed in this role:
- NZQF Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2).
- Experience in a busy kitchen environment.
- Planning and organizing skills and an ability to work individually and in a team.
- Ability to multi-task, show flexibility and meet deadlines, work under pressure.
- Flexible to work rostered shifts, including weekends, late nights, and public holidays.
- Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g., grillers and pasta makers).
- Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks, excellent time management abilities.
- Familiarity with sanitation regulations.
