About the Role:
This structured one-year position offers an exceptional opportunity to hone specialist skills in General Gastroenterology/Endoscopy/IBD at Dunedin Hospital/University of Otago. As a Fellow, you will work closely with Clinical Director, Consultant Physicians, Registrar, Clinical Nurse specialists, and Nurse Practitioner to ensure an efficient and high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized care to patients in in- and outpatient settings
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective treatment plans
  • Pursue research interests in hepatology and IBD
  • Supervise more junior medical staff within the Unit – education of junior staff in clinical management and procedural techniques

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be in their last 6 months of Gastroenterology advanced training, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills, enthusiasm for teaching, and a solution-focused approach in a clinical environment.
