This Fellowship - Gastroenterology position is a structured one year position that includes 1:6 Gastroenterology on-call under supervision as needed, research, in- and outpatient specialist service, rural clinics, and endoscopy. We welcome applicants who are proficient in most of the skills and procedures outlined in the New Zealand Curriculum Framework for Junior Doctors.
As a member of our team, you will work closely with the Clinical Director, Consultant Physicians, Registrar, Clinical Nurse specialists, and Nurse Practitioner to ensure an efficient and high-quality service. You will have the opportunity to hone your specialist skills before becoming fully vocationally registered and aid the transition from registrar working under supervision to specialist providing supervision to junior staff.
We have subspecialty clinics in hepatology and IBD which allows research into aspects of these disciplines. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care and we are committed to supporting the professional development of our staff.
