Job Overview

The CDDFT Charity is pleased to advertise a rare, exciting opportunity for a permanent, part-time Community Respiratory Care and Support Worker. This role will involve delivering and supporting respiratory care and education to patients in out-patient clinics and their own homes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work under the direction of the registered community respiratory specialist nursing team to deliver respiratory care and support.
  • Assist in the delivery of respiratory care, including diagnostic spirometry performance and educating patients on healthy lifestyle, inhaler technique, and self-management plans.
  • Care delivery in a community clinic or patients' home environment.
  • Take responsibility for medical devices and service equipment registers.
  • Participate in service improvement and developmental initiatives.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Competent in performing and recording clinical observations and understand their significance.
  • Able to work independently and act accordingly in an emergency situation.
  • Confident in the use of email and basic IT skills.
