About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Independent Living Support Worker to join our team at Spectrum Care. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing support to individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities in their own homes and out into the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to individuals in their own homes and out into the community.
- Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
- Develop a strong relationship with the individual and their family to ensure their needs are met.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a high level of care is provided.
- Report and document any concerns or incidents in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- An interest in attaining a Community Support Worker Level Three or above qualification.
- Experience supporting people with disabilities, mental health issues, and/or challenging behaviors is desirable but not necessary.
- Reliability, commitment, and passion for working with people.
- A full New Zealand driver's licence.
- The ability to use a computer effectively, including programs such as Word and email.
