Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and kind Care Assistant to provide support to a young lady who requires assistance with daily activities. This role involves providing 1:1 support, assisting with community participation, socializing, work or education, personal cares, and domestic chores.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the individual with daily activities such as community participation, socializing, work or education, personal cares, and domestic chores.
  • Provide 1:1 support and assistance with tasks as needed.
  • Develop a strong relationship with the individual and their family to ensure their needs are met.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a high level of care is provided.
  • Report and document any concerns or incidents in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • An interest in attaining a Community Support Worker Level Three or above qualification.
  • Experience supporting people with disabilities, mental health issues, and/or challenging behaviors is desirable but not necessary.
  • Reliability, commitment, and passion for working with people.
  • A full New Zealand driver's licence.
  • The ability to use a computer effectively, including programs such as Word and email.
