At Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland, we provide comprehensive health and disability services to over half a million people in central Auckland, as well as regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for all of New Zealand. Our primary sites include Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre, and Starship Children's Hospital, all located centrally.

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Consultant Psychiatrist to join our clinical and cultural team at Lotofale - Pacific Mental Health Services. This role involves participation in the adult mental health Consultant on-call roster. The successful candidate will have a Post Graduate qualification in Psychiatry and be vocationally registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand, holding a current Annual Practice Certificate or eligibility for one.

Key Responsibilities
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will work collaboratively with our team of clinicians, cultural support workers, and matua's to deliver high-quality mental health care to Pasifika individuals and their families. You will address cultural, spiritual, physical, and mental dimensions to achieve the highest standards of cultural-clinical care and improve health outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Candidates must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups. A postgraduate qualification in psychiatry is preferred. If you are an overseas specialist, you will need to provide source verification of your qualifications for registration.
