Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced mental health professional to join our team as a Senior Mental Health Professional. The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background and excellent communication skills.

About the Position

The role is responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to service users, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the clinical team leader, clients, colleagues, mental health service providers, and other community agencies to promote service user recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of service users, including psychological and psychiatric evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans that address the unique needs of each service user
  • Work collaboratively with the clinical team leader to develop and implement strategies for improving service user outcomes
  • Liaise with Youth Coordination Teams; this intersectoral approach is part of the national Youth Crime Action Plan, and more locally Tamaki Makaurau Rangatahi Action Plan
  • Support the development of a culturally safe and inclusive environment for service users
