We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our team of Ambulance & Events Volunteers. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, from community events to ambulance crews, and provide care and support to patients in need.

About the Role

This is a challenging but highly rewarding role that requires excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care. You will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, transporting patients to medical facilities, and providing first aid and basic life support to patients.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping others and making a difference in their community. If you have a strong desire to help others and a willingness to learn and develop new skills, we encourage you to apply for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing care and support to patients at community events and on ambulance crews
  • Responding to emergency calls and transporting patients to medical facilities
  • Providing first aid and basic life support to patients
  • Working effectively in a team environment to achieve shared goals
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • A full and clean New Zealand driver's license for at least 12 months
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency status
  • A clean police record
  • Ability to pass Hato Hone St John assessments, including a physical assessment, health questionnaire, literacy and numeracy assessments, and an interview
  • Meet our Medical Standards, which can be found here.
