About the Role
The Waitemata District Health Board is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our esteemed Child, Adolescent & Family Service team. This role presents an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute their expertise and passion for improving mental health outcomes for children and adolescents in our community.
Key Responsibilities
This challenging and rewarding position involves providing comprehensive psychiatric care to children and adolescents, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to service development and improvement initiatives. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and managing complex cases.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to have:
- A broad range of general psychiatric skills
- Hold or be eligible for Vocational Registration as a Child Psychiatrist with the Medical Council of NZ
- Enjoy teaching – Rotorua is a teaching hospital with 4th, 5th, and 6th year medical students as well as registrars training for fellowship with the RANZCP
