About the Position
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate mental health clinician to join our dynamic team at Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (iCAMHS) in Rotorua. As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in assessing and addressing the mental health needs of tamariki, rangitahi, and their whanau. Your capacity to establish strong, trusting relationships with community members will be instrumental in achieving successful outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and create personalized treatment plans
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic approaches to address various mental health concerns
- Foster collaborative relationships with other clinicians, schools, and community organizations
- Develop and maintain expertise in working with diverse populations, including those from Māori and Pacific communities
Essential Qualifications
- Registration with a relevant NZ professional body (e.g., Psychology Board of Australia, Nursing Council of New Zealand)
- Current full clean NZ driver's license
- Children's worker safety checks compliance
- Capacity to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth in working with tamariki, rangitahi, and their whanau, including competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a willingness to learn and grow
