Care Home Supervisor Job Description

Tangram is seeking a Care Home Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our residential support service. As a Care Home Supervisor, you will be responsible for creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive living environment for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

About the Position

  • This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • You will lead and develop a team of support staff, maintain documentation, and oversee rosters to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Supervising and developing a team of support staff to deliver person-centered care.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigating risks associated with resident care.
  • Roster Management: Coordinating staff shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage and efficient use of resources.
  • Health & Safety: Maintaining a safe living environment, including fire safety and house maintenance.
  • Communication: Communicating effectively with residents, families, and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met.

Your Skills & Experience

  • A Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, with strong knowledge of positive behavior support strategies.
  • Proven leadership experience, ideally in the health or disability sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Webcare.
  • A full driver's license.
