About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work as a Public Health Nurse with our team. As a member of our National Public Health Service, you will play a crucial role in delivering public health nursing services across the community.

About You

  • You understand the importance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and have experience applying its principles effectively in your role.
  • You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships at all levels.
  • You are skilled in utilising advanced nursing knowledge and skills through reflective practice, critical thinking, and professional judgement.
  • You have experience working within a team and autonomously in a rural setting.
  • You are able to utilise Patient Management Systems and have an eye for detail with a commitment to continuous quality improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Current registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand as Registered Nurse.
  • 3+ years clinical experience, including being a fully authorised vaccinator (or working towards) and demonstrating a high level of clinical expertise and clinical judgement, particularly when working with children and adolescents.
  • Hold a currently assessed nursing portfolio as assessed via an approved Professional Development Recognition Programme (PDRP).
  • Child and Adolescent health related experience and family planning experience.
