About the Role

As a physiotherapist within the offender health setting, you will provide advanced assessment and treatment to patients with complex and chronic conditions. This role requires a high level of autonomy, enabling you to determine clinical diagnoses and treatment plans while ensuring high standards of care and maintaining accurate clinical records.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Manage a clinical caseload, including offender health and potential private/staff patients.
  • Develop and expand business opportunities within the service.
  • Work within contract-specific KPIs and report statistics to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards, policies, and clinical governance.
  • Liaise regularly with senior management and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Manage the delivery of physiotherapy services across multiple locations, if required.
  • Maintain and report on clinical incidents, complaints, and compliments.
  • Participate in monthly feedback and meetings with senior management.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Holds current HCPC and CSP registration as a physiotherapist.
  • Has a minimum of two years' experience as a physiotherapist with exposure to rotational roles in respiratory, MSK, and Neuro.
  • Demonstrates experience in independent working and lone working.
  • Displays energetic and proactive attitude with flexibility to work within a prison clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer literacy.
  • A postgraduate qualification such as MSc is desirable.
  • Previous experience working in a secure setting is advantageous.
