Job Overview

Volunteering Waikato is seeking volunteers to support newly arrived refugee families in Hamilton. As a volunteer, you will play a crucial role in helping these families settle into their new home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help set up the house before the family arrives
  • Welcome the family to Hamilton and orient them to the kitchen and important information about the house and property
  • Assist with everyday tasks such as shopping, transportation, and accessing local services

Requirements

  • PASSION FOR HELPING PEOPLE
  • Interest in supporting refugees to successfully settle in Hamilton
  • Attend two training sessions
  • Minimum 3-month ongoing commitment
  • Police vetting
