About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Agricultural Support Specialist to join our team in a newly created position. As a key member of our crop monitoring operations, you will support the Crop Monitoring Coordinator with day-to-day activities, including planning, scheduling, data management, and client communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage efficient monitoring and sampling schedules.
- Liaise with clients and internal teams to gather necessary information, update job requests, and ensure timely completion.
- Supporting Crop Monitoring Scouts: Provide onboarding assistance, offer technical support, and help new scouts settle into their roles.
- Administration: Assist with client registration, maintain accurate spreadsheets, and provide support to our Quality Assurance team.
- Database Management: Ensure the CMS database is up-to-date, report any issues, and assist with setting up and troubleshooting apps on scout phones.
- Monitoring & Sampling: Prepare sampling materials, cover for scouts during peak times, and accurately record data.
- Reporting: Analyze data insights, prepare reports for clients, and ensure timely delivery.
What You Will Bring:
- 2+ years of horticulture experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft suite (M365) including Excel.
- Competent using mobile phones and computers for data entry.
- Good eyesight and physical fitness.
- Full class 1 license (4WD on-farm driver training or experience is a bonus).
- Previous crop monitoring experience; AvoGreen certification is desired.
