The RoleAs a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide leadership and expert advice to ensure culturally safe, evidence-based mental health and addiction care. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, handle complex cases, and mentor team members.
Key Responsibilities- Assess complex cases and conduct case reviews
- Offer clinical input to tangata whai ora and taiohi across all Wairarapa Pathways and Real Services
- Mentor nurses and lead special interest groups
- Use advanced health assessment, interventions and clinical decision making in the management of care
- Take a leadership role clinically through direct and indirect contact with tangata whai ora, taiohi and the wider addictions team
You will need:
- Advanced clinical experience in Mental Health and Addictions
- Ability to articulate evidence-based expertise to a multidisciplinary team
- Experience of trauma-informed care strategies
- Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi Principles
- Registration with the Nursing Council New Zealand
