We are seeking an experienced Advanced Nursing Specialist to join our team in the Emergency Department at Wellington Regional Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of illnesses or injuries.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Perform assessments, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with medical teams as applicable.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to manage patient flow efficiently.
  • Ensure the highest level of care and safety for all patients.
  • Utilise advanced clinical judgment and critical thinking to make informed, timely decisions.

**The Ideal Candidate**

We are looking for a recognised advanced practice nurse with a passion for ongoing learning and development. The successful applicant will have proven advanced emergency nursing expertise and additional knowledge, attributes, and experience ideal for this position include:

  • Experience in emergency nursing (Minimum 3-4 years) or related practice area.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the NZ health system and the District environment.
  • Experience in leadership, management, and coaching.
