About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Personal Support Specialist to join our team. As a Personal Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to achieve their goals and live independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement personalized support plans to meet individual needs
- Assist individuals with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
- Collaborate with the support team to ensure effective care delivery
Requirements
- Degree in Social Work or related field (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities (desired but not required)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleepover shifts
