About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to lead national sales initiatives and drive revenue growth across New Zealand.
This exciting opportunity requires proven experience in business development or sales leadership within the civil, infrastructure, water, or construction industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a national sales strategy to drive business growth in the civil sector.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities, including major tenders and strategic partnerships.
- Lead and mentor a dynamic sales team, ensuring targets are met across multiple branches.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in government, utilities, and private sector organisations to position the company as a preferred provider.
- Provide strategic insights on emerging opportunities, innovations, and competitive positioning.
- Oversee pricing strategies, proposals, and contract negotiations to ensure commercial success.
- Manage business development expenditures to align with company objectives.
About You
Strong strategic mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities, navigate complex sales cycles, and develop winning strategies.
Executive-level communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
Experience managing tenders, contracts, and key client accounts within the infrastructure sector.
Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and manage a high-performing sales team.
Tertiary qualification in business, engineering, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
