Job Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have the following essential skills:
- Strong relationships in Otago with Ngai Tahu Papatipu Runanga and Nga Maata waka communities and an ability to actively manage significant relationships.
- Ability to value diverse perspectives and experiences.
- Currently live in Otago within daily commuting distance to the regional office in Otepoti-Dunedin from Monday to Friday.
- Experience working with Whanau, Hapu, Iwi, Maori organisations, and communities.
- A high level of understanding of the Machinery of Government, public service, and the public sector processes that ensure impartiality of all Public Servants.
- Understanding of The Treaty of Waitangi and Te Tiriti o Waitangi and recognise the importance of the Treaty-Te Tiriti from both Maori and Crown perspectives.
- A level of competency in te reo Maori or a willingness to learn.
