About the Team

You will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about protecting New Zealand's borders and facilitating international trade. Our team works together to ensure the security of New Zealand's borders, while also providing excellent customer service to international travelers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the detection of prohibited items and potential security threats.
  • Participate in inspection, examination, and audit activities to ensure compliance with Customs laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and stakeholders to combat illegal activities and protect New Zealand's borders.
  • Provide expert advice to international travelers and facilitate their transit.
Requirements
  • A strong passion for protecting New Zealand's borders and an understanding of Customs' role.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A high level of integrity and commitment to upholding laws, policy, and procedures.
  • The ability to adapt quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
