**Job Description:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to provide support to a 11-year-old girl who lives with her parents in the Auckland area. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the child with daily living activities, including healthcare, mobility, and communication.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with complex needs, preferably in a pediatric setting. They should possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, and be able to build strong relationships with the child and her family.

**Responsibilities:*

  • Assist the child with daily living activities, including hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation
  • Provide mobility assistance using a wheelchair
  • Communicate effectively with the child, her family, and healthcare professionals
  • Participate in therapy-based activities and medical appointments
  • Accompany the child on outings and social events

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A willingness to undergo police vetting and additional checks
  • The right to work in New Zealand
  • Experience working with children with complex needs, preferably in a pediatric setting
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
  • Ability to build strong relationships with the child and her family
