The ideal candidate will have:

  • New Zealand registration as a primary teacher, specialising in teaching the arts to students with intellectual disabilities.
  • Knowledge of autism and experience working with students who have this condition.
  • A special education qualification and/or experience teaching students with intellectual disabilities.
  • A basic understanding of te reo Māori or Pasifika language.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with colleagues and parents/whānau/caregivers.
