To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of 5 years' previous Fire and General underwriting experience as a commercial underwriter or equivalent level. You will also need proven ability to underwrite complex underwriting problems within defined guidelines and business objectives.
You will need to have proven ability to build, maintain and enhance positive and constructive relationships with insurers and broking networks alike. Additionally, you will need the ability to coach and motivate a team and build effective relationships with team members.
A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Financial Services, Insurance or NZQA / ANZIIF recognized qualifications would be advantageous.
