**About the Opportunity**

We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety professional to join our team at Lyttelton Port Company. As an Operational Risk Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting operational leaders in reducing operational risk and ensuring Safe Production.

The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on continuous improvement and excellent communication skills. They will be able to maintain key stakeholder relationships and have the ability to collaborate and influence leaders at all levels.

The role requires knowledge of the New Zealand Health and Safety legislation and regulations, as well as solid understanding and experience leading risk management processes. Experience working in a highly unionized environment is advantageous.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Support operational leaders in reducing operational risk and ensuring Safe Production
  • Develop and implement Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
  • Maintain key stakeholder relationships

**Requirements:**

  • Minimum five years' experience in Health & Safety
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field
  • Accreditation to a professional association for Health and Safety practitioners

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Experience working in a highly unionized environment
  • Solid understanding and experience leading risk management processes
