Our kaupapa is to improve the well-being of all through accessible and affordable Maori health and social services available to all.The Infant, Child, Adolescent and Youth Mental Health Service (ICAYMHS) holds a supportive worker role for children and adolescents up to 18 years old.
This position will provide assessment and treatment for children and adolescents with low to moderate mental health problems, including conditions such as anxiety disorder, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorders, suicidal thoughts and feelings, and self-harm.You will be confident engaging with whanau from all backgrounds and circumstances, as well as engaging with other services and organisations to access further support.You will thrive within an integrated organisation that works collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for whanau.Qualifications/CredentialsClean full New Zealand driver's licenseNew Zealand residencyResponsibilitiesMaintain a caseload of 15 to 20 clients that are eligible to receive services, predominantly Maori population aged 0-18 years.Conduct a full comprehensive assessment of the client's needs.Coordinate and improve access to resources that whanau need to meet their aspirations.
Case management and recording of clinical processes from intake, assessment, reviews, and discharges, including case notes, must be up to date, accurate, and maintained at a professional level.Communicate effectively and complete written reports to a high standard.Practice tikanga where required on the Marae – opportunities to learn are provided.Adhere to all privacy and policy requirements.Role RequirementsPolice vetting is a condition of employment.Meet the Vulnerable Children's Act safety checking and Police vetting requirements.Understanding of Te Reo and Tikanga Maori.How do your skills match this job?Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following First Aid accreditations do you currently hold?Do you have a current New Zealand driver's licence?Which of the following Microsoft Office products are you experienced with?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?
