The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Duty Lifeguard to join our team. This role involves ensuring the safety of all patrons, supervising pool activities, and assisting with daily operations of the aquatic centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure health and safety is maintained through actively supervising all activities within the centre that meet industry standards and respond to any incidents and emergency situations.
  • Perform water chemical tests to ensure quality of the pool water.
  • Assist with the identification of maintenance requirements.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to other lifeguards.
  • Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation.

Requirements:

  • Hold a current Comprehensive First Aid and a Pool Lifeguard Practicing certificate.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Holding a current Swimming Pool Water Treatment qualification is an advantage.
