The Neutron Flight Safety Systems team at Rocket Lab is responsible for developing and maintaining safety-critical software for our autonomous Flight Termination System (FTS). As a Senior Software Engineer on this team, you will play a key role in designing and implementing software that ensures compliance with certification standards and integrates seamlessly with navigation systems.

Your expertise will be instrumental in creating comprehensive software development plans, coding standards, and requirements for flight safety systems software. You will work closely with our team to develop tools and services that support all phases of development, testing, simulation, and operations.

We're seeking an experienced software engineer with a strong background in software development, safety-critical systems, and regulated environments. A minimum of 5 years' experience, along with proficiency in C++, deployment, CI tooling, Git, and issue trackers, is essential.

If you have a proven track record of interpreting and documenting compliance with engineering standards, that would be a significant advantage.
