Avionics Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Avionics Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Electron launch vehicle development program, you will be responsible for designing and developing avionics components, electronic circuits, and PCBs that meet mission-critical and safety-critical standards.
Your primary focus will be on driving the design and testing of avionics components, as well as developing test systems and software for avionics projects. You will also be responsible for securing design approvals for new avionics components and systems, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring adherence to best practices.
In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to adapt vehicle structure effectively in response to component changes, contributing to architectural solutions. Additionally, you will focus on ramping up production support, emphasizing documentation, and ensuring all designs and systems comply with IEEE standards, NASA, and FAI regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Over 5 years of experience in hardware development or electronics test engineering.
- Proven experience in designing hardware from concept through to production.
