About the Job:
The Department of Conservation is seeking a highly skilled Maori Partnerships Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Maori culture and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with iwi and tangata whenua.

Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with iwi and tangata whenua
- Provide expert advice on matters related to Maori-Crown relationships and Treaty obligations
- Coordinate and plan activities to support nationally led iwi relationships
- Report on progress and outcomes to stakeholders
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of Maori culture and language
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a culturally sensitive environment
- Knowledge of te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo
