About the Team/Service/Location

Wellington Hospital Maternity Unit is a modern, purpose-built unit catering for the needs of women and their families. The team includes midwives, obstetric medical doctors, anaesthetists, healthcare assistants, and administration officers.

About You

  • ">
  • You must be registered with the Midwifery Council of New Zealand and have a current APC.">
  • Prior experience in a leadership position and on the quality leadership programme at leadership level is highly desirable.">
  • A Master's Degree in Midwifery or evidence of working towards is an advantage.">

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and senior clinical midwifery support to the Midwife Manager and the midwifery team.">
  • Implement organisational initiatives and manage midwifery areas.">
  • Ensure a safe patient journey within the area of responsibility.">
  • Coordinate people and resources to provide effective care for women and babies.">
