About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist Clinical Trials Expert to join our team in the dynamic clinical trials space. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of clinical trials, including dispensing, liaison with our compounding unit, and communication with clinical trial coordinators and trial monitors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day running of clinical trials, including dispensing, liaising with our compounding unit, and communication with clinical trial coordinators and trial monitors
  • Involvement with the set-up of clinical trials, including occasional investigator-led studies
  • Coordination of medicines access programs, such as compassionate supply
  • Support for quality improvement initiatives for the pharmacy clinical trials team
  • Participation in the inpatient dispensary roster as required and occasional involvement in weekend rosters

About the Team/Service

Our pharmacy service provides essential support to Waikato and rural hospitals, as well as tertiary and advisory services to Te Manawa Taki region. We strive to provide high-quality pharmaceutical supply, medicines safety, and clinical services, while ensuring the effective operation of the hospital health service.

About You

To be considered for this role, you must have experience in hospital pharmacy, preferably with 5 years of previous experience or at least 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience coupled with relevant other pharmacy experience. Familiarity with trial processes is desirable. You must also be a New Zealand registered pharmacist with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as an integral team member.
