We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Administrator to join our team at the University of Canterbury. As a key member of our Shared Services team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive finance administrative services to customers, including processing fees, loans, and scholarship payments, as well as reconciliation and reporting activities.
About This Role
This position is a great opportunity to make a difference at the University of Canterbury. As a Senior Finance Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the university's operations and contributing to its mission.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive finance administrative services to customers;
- Processing fees, loans, and scholarship payments, as well as reconciliation and reporting activities;
- Working collaboratively with other teams to identify opportunities for operational efficacy, innovation, and process improvements;
- Contributing to the development and implementation of new financial systems and processes;
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and reports.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of accounting principles and practices;
- Experience working with financial software and systems, including Oracle EBS and Microsoft Office applications;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify solutions;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and customers;
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports.
