About This Role

This position is a great opportunity to make a difference at the University of Canterbury. As a Senior Finance Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the university's operations and contributing to its mission.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive finance administrative services to customers;
  • Processing fees, loans, and scholarship payments, as well as reconciliation and reporting activities;
  • Working collaboratively with other teams to identify opportunities for operational efficacy, innovation, and process improvements;
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of new financial systems and processes;
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and reports.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of accounting principles and practices;
  • Experience working with financial software and systems, including Oracle EBS and Microsoft Office applications;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify solutions;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and customers;
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports.
