We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rail Terminal Supervisor of Operations to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of automotive activities at our Norfolk Southern (NS) Ayer, MA rail terminal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the scheduling and coordinating of automotive activities at the terminal
  • Assure that personnel meets performance levels of productivity goals and maintains acceptable service levels based on set company standards
  • Prioritize safety, productivity, and efficiency; have direct contact with customers for unloading automobiles
  • Designate availability of equipment to meet customer requirements and ensure security of all operations within the intermodal yard
  • Assist in upholding a high level of standard for all employees regarding safety policies

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license, ability to pass a background check, and pass a drug test
  • Advanced knowledge of the railroad industry from vocational education or similar supervisory work experience
  • Ability to assist in conflict resolution and mediation between co-workers
  • Proven managerial skills as a strong leader and positive motivator, success with employee training, and a good understanding of Collective Bargaining Agreements, government regulations, and industry standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with various individuals

We are an independent contractor of the railroad and are not affiliated with the railroad itself. You will be employed directly by Pacific Rail Services and will not be an employee of the Railroad.
