This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals and their whanau. As a Clinical Mental Health Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team that provides comprehensive care to those in need.

You will work closely with colleagues to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, drawing on your expertise in mental health and addiction. Your passion for delivering high-quality care, coupled with your commitment to upholding Te Tiriti principles, makes you an ideal candidate for this role.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Assess client readiness to change and identify immediate risk and safety concerns.
  • Design, implement and evaluate alcohol and drug groups and educational programmes tailored to client needs.
  • Provide comprehensive knowledge of properties and effects of commonly misused drugs and alcohol, including harm reduction principles.
  • Facilitate client access to addiction interventions and contribute to clinical discussions and treatment planning.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of various alcohol and other drug intervention models, programmes and approaches.
