Procurement and Commercial Specialist

About the Position:

This role focuses on driving successful procurement and commercial outcomes through the effective management of the end-to-end procurement lifecycle. Key responsibilities include minimizing risk, achieving public value, and ensuring alignment with the NZDF's strategic objectives.

You will join a supportive team that provides commercial services to Defence Estate and Infrastructure (DEI), contributing to the development, maintenance, and management of land, property, and infrastructure assets for all NZDF camps and bases.

This position offers flexible working options but requires occasional travel, necessitating a Class 1 Full Driver's License.

To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to engage with various stakeholders and produce high-quality written content. A proven track record in customer engagement and stakeholder management is essential.

Familiarity with leading sourcing processes, contract management, and the end-to-end procurement lifecycle process, as well as adherence to the Government Procurement Rules and best practices, is necessary.
