The Role
We are seeking an experienced Information Coordination & Claims Specialist to join our team in Wellington CBD. As a key member of our Historic Claims department, you will be responsible for coordinating information requests and conducting assessments to support claimants who have been abused in State care.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate information requests from claimants, ensuring timely and accurate responses
- Conduct assessments of claims against the Historic Claims framework, providing recommendations to support decision-making
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver exceptional outcomes for claimants
- Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- Demonstrate empathy and understanding of client needs, concerns, and priorities

Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience
- Good knowledge of applicable legislation, including the Privacy Act
- Ability to prioritise work, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and logical reasoning
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, synthesising large amounts of information
