About the Opportunity

We are recruiting for an Engineering Consents Specialist to join our Regulatory Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that public infrastructure is designed and built to standard.

The successful candidate will have senior-level expertise in civil land development and a thorough understanding of relevant legislation, including the Resource Management Act, Building Act, and Local Government Act. You will need to be experienced working with Auckland's Unitary Plan and Auckland Design Manual, with the ability to clearly interpret and apply relevant standards across various development scenarios.

You will work closely with our Land Development Engineers to strengthen the delivery and effectiveness of our engineering consenting processes, and to develop and grow the team's capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing guidance and delivering training to Land Development Engineers.
  • Working closely with technical specialists and partners across the Council and development community.
  • Developing and implementing effective engineering consenting processes.
