About the Role

The Quality Facilitator is responsible for supporting the Quality Manager in delivering national, regional, and district-level goals for quality and patient safety.

A key aspect of this role involves providing leave cover for the reporting of Faster Cancer Treatment Times Indicators, which require a validation step by reviewing electronic clinical records.

In-depth training will be provided. Additionally, the Quality Facilitator collaborates with Service leaders to support the ongoing development, improvement, and implementation of a quality and risk management framework.

This ensures effective structures and processes are in place to deliver safe, high-quality care.

The Quality Facilitator is part of a small team based within adult services at Christchurch Hospital.

This is a permanent part-time role, working 20 hours per week, with flexible days and hours negotiable to suit the business and applicant.

There may be an opportunity to increase these hours in the future.

  • To provide cover for the Faster Cancer Treatment Times (FCT) Indicators Programme when the Coordinator is on planned leave or extended periods of unplanned leave.
  • Drive an organizational culture of innovation, transformation, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Ensure improvement programs and projects are robust and based on best practices and evidence.
  • Support clinical risk management processes including incident investigation, Learning Reviews, complaint review, risk identification, and mitigation strategies.
  • Actively participate in patient safety and improvement projects.
  • Fulfill the role of Certification/Accreditation Coordinator for the services.
