Our Role

The Kaiwhakahaere Kaupapa/Project Manager will be part of a tight-knit team leading change and creating legacy for generations to come. This role will oversee the development and implementation of strategic initiatives that advance the University's Maori academic research and teaching objectives.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement annual operational plans, including setting key performance indicators, budgets, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate achievements and share progress being made in advancing the Whakamana i Te Tiriti o Waitangi Domain and Maori Strategic Framework goals.
  • Liaise across the University with Pae Tata Strategy and Implementation Leads to ensure alignment of Te Tiriti workstreams and initiatives in other Pae Tata Domains.
  • Contribute to the development of a quality assured approach to benchmark good practice and exemplars of strategic Maori success.

Requirements

  • A tertiary qualification and excellent understanding of the tertiary education sector.
  • Demonstrate commitment to and expertise in Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • Have proficiency in te reo and tikaka Maori.
  • Have experience in project management, translating strategy into action, influencing organisational practice, and contributing to transformative change.
